“Envy is green” and “love is red” - we all use color associations, but can a sentence be expressed using only one color? Explore colors through words with the RAL - The Color Dictionary, an indispensable design tool for interior designers, advertisers, designers, painters and anyone fascinated by color theory.
The book is based on a study by Alex Venn, professor of color design, who conducted a scientific study with 60 participants in which mood boards were created that associated colors with words ranging from comfortable to uncomfortable, and from trendy to archaic. For each of the book's 360 adjectives, 49 color images are shown with the respective color scale in the colors of the RAL Design System.
This color dictionary allows you to think outside the box to make color statements and gives you room to play with not one, but 49 colors for each sentence.
