The PANONE Color of the Year 2021 Has Been Announced

The announcement we've been waiting for from Pantone is finally here! This year, the Color of the Year is a combination of two colors: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating. Pantone has combined these two powerful colors as a message of continued strength and hope to lead us into 2021.
These two different colors have been combined to show how different elements can be connected and strengthen each other. Ultimate Gray, a solid and reliable shade, is paired with the warming and optimistic Illuminating to create a feeling of happiness supported by strength.
Much like the light at the end of the tunnel, this strong color combination is a sign of things to look forward to in 2021. This isn't the first year Pantone has chosen two different colors for its color of the year (think back to 2016's Rose Quartz and Serenity combo). However, choosing two colors to combine feels more fitting than ever, as Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, puts it: "We all know we can't do this alone."
