Bringen Sie Ihren kreativen Workflow auf das nächste Level – mit dem EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X

Take your creative workflow to the next level – with the EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X

The difference between a good monitor and the right monitor is evident in the work itself. The EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X is a 27-inch monitor for professional color management, designed for users who cannot afford color errors: photographers who rely on precise skin tones, videographers who grade HDR content for cinema and broadcast, and post-production teams where even a single incorrect calibration can cause hours of rework.

This is not a monitor that has merely had some professional features added. Color accuracy is the foundation of its entire design.

Ready in three minutes. Reliable all day long.

Most monitors take 30 minutes or more to achieve stable color and brightness values after being turned on. The CG2700X achieves this in just three minutes – whether in a controlled studio or on location. For photographers doing tethered shooting or colorists under time pressure, this is the difference between a monitor you can trust and one you have to compromise with.

And once stability is achieved, it remains. The CG2700X uses a temperature sensor that monitors both the conditions in the panel and the environment, making real-time adjustments to keep color gradients, colors, and brightness consistently precise. EIZO's AI-powered algorithm, developed using a patented process, goes a step further and detects different temperature changes to calculate more accurate corrections than conventional sensors.

Proven accurate colors

The CG2700X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space and 98% of the DCI-P3 standard for digital cinema. These values are not just theoretical statements: each monitor is delivered with a calibration certificate confirming that the device was individually measured before leaving the factory.

Long-term color accuracy is built directly into the hardware. ColorEdge was the first monitor series worldwide with an integrated calibration sensor. On the CG2700X, this sensor automatically moves onto the screen at specified times and performs recalibration – without additional hardware or manual intervention. After calibration, the sensor retracts flush with the housing and takes up minimal screen space during the process.

The technical basis is a 16-bit look-up table in combination with 10-bit simultaneous display – over a billion colors with smooth gradients and minimal Delta-E deviations between neighboring color tones. A 3D LUT processes colors via an individual RGB cubic table, enabling a precision in neutral grays that is not achievable with simple color profiles. EIZO's Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) corrects brightness and color deviations across the entire screen surface, ensuring that the color in the corners is displayed as accurately as in the center.

HDR Grading with 500 cd/m²

The CG2700X supports both HLG and PQ gamma curves for HDR content and offers a peak brightness of 500 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1450:1. For broadcast and cinema applications, this means being able to evaluate HDR material directly on the monitor where it is being edited.

The Luminance Warning function marks image areas that exceed the currently displayable brightness, with thresholds at 300, 500, 1,000, and 4,000 cd/m². The BT.709 Gamut Warning highlights areas of a BT.2020 image that fall outside the BT.709 color space by displaying them in gray. This allows assessing how content will appear on HDTV devices even before delivery.

Preset color modes cover all relevant professional standards:

  • DCI-P3
  • BT.709
  • BT.2020
  • PQ (DCI and BT.2100)
  • HLG (BT.2100)
  • Adobe RGB
  • sRGB

The DCI 4K Cropping function allows DCI 4K signals (4096 × 2160) to be displayed on the native 4K UHD panel (3840 × 2160) with three different cropping positions. The 4K Zoom function also enables immediate pixel-by-pixel control directly via the front panel controls.

Engineered for precision, optimized for everyday work

The size was deliberately chosen. At 27 inches and 164 ppi, the CG2700X offers a higher pixel density than larger ColorEdge models while providing sufficient workspace to comfortably display native 4K content along with toolbars, palettes, and other windows.

In addition, the monitor is also suitable for mobile use. An integrated carrying handle makes transport easier, while the three-minute warm-up time eliminates long waiting periods on location.

Included in the delivery is a magnetic light-shielding hood, which can be attached without additional individual parts and is light enough not to interfere with daily work. The stand allows for height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot functions and features a quick release for tool-free adjustments.

One cable for everything

Via USB Type-C, video, USB data, LAN, and up to 94 W of power are transmitted via a single cable. For a MacBook Pro or comparable high-performance laptops, this means plugging in and getting started immediately – without a separate power supply.

The integrated RJ-45 LAN port ensures a stable network connection even for devices without an Ethernet port and simultaneously allows the use of ColorNavigator Network for central color management of multiple monitors via a web browser – ideal for studios and post-production environments.

Additional connections include:

  • DisplayPort
  • HDMI
  • Four USB ports for peripheral devices

Built for professional demands

The CG2700X comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty covering all components including the LCD panel. Brightness and color consistency are guaranteed for up to 10,000 operating hours. In addition, EIZO's bright sub-pixel warranty is valid for six months from the date of purchase.

For professionals whose work depends on precise image reproduction, the CG2700X provides the tools to control what is seen on screen – and the technical foundation to rely on it every day.
