10 standard channels:
The PlusX's 10 standard channels allow you to work without conflicting with other users. Perfect for collaborating with other photographers or at large events. Use different channels for different configurations and set them up in a simple and intuitive way by turning the dial. These 10 channels are compatible with any PocketWizard radio system. The PlusX is the most straightforward radio ever made and can be set up to 10 radio channels.
Illuminated dial:
Select a channel by simply turning the easy-to-grip dial. Due to the low power consumption, the number can be permanently illuminated while the device is in use.
Integrated antenna:
The PlusX features a durable housing with an unobtrusive, integrated antenna that minimizes obstruction of the line of sight between you and your object. The integrated antenna also has the advantage that it cannot be bent or damaged in any other way. With a total height of less than 10.7 cm with antenna, the transceiver weighs only about 113 g including batteries.
Quickly connected / cable connection:
You can synchronize the PlusX via the center contact of your camera without using a cable. The PlusX also offers a universal miniphone sync connection (3.5 mm) for connecting to flash units or cameras. The miniphone plug connection is much more reliable than the conventional sync connection. Each PlusX is supplied with the following accessories: a miniphone-to-miniphone cable, a miniphone-to-phono adapter (6.3 mm) for triggering most professional flashes, and a miniphone-to-PC cable for triggering many speedlights or for using your PlusX on a camera if you cannot fire the PlusX via the center contact. Additional miniphone connection cables in various lengths are available for the most common flash systems. There are also dedicated trigger cables available for many camera systems.
Auto-sensing transceiver:
Thanks to our patented auto-sensing technology, the PlusX transceiver is a truly smart radio. The PlusX switches instantly and independently between transmit and receive mode, making the device easy to use. The PlusX transceiver only switches to transmit mode (Tx) when it is required.
Auto-Relay mode:
With our auto-sensing technology and with the help of just 3 PocketWizard devices, you can trigger a remote camera in sync with a separate flash: a radio device in your hand acts as a transmitter, a PlusX transceiver connected to your camera via a trigger cable and a PlusX connected to your flash acts as a receiver. The PlusX transceiver connected to your remotely triggered camera will receive a radio signal and trigger the camera. After that, it will switch to transmit mode and trigger the flash connected to the PocketWizard on the next higher channel - all fully automatic and truly synchronous. Start the process by pressing the TEST button on the PocketWizard transceiver in your hand. Cameras require a corresponding trigger cable. Status display / battery level:
The PlusX has a three-color LED status indicator that serves two functions: When the device sends or receives a trigger signal, the LED lights up red. During normal operation, the indicator flashes green - the device is in operation and the battery life is above 50%. The indicator flashes amber twice when the battery life is below 50% but still above 25%. It flashes red three times when the battery power has dropped below 25% - the batteries should be replaced.
Send only mode:
There are situations in which the PlusX should only transmit. This is the case when two or more photographers share a lighting setup to avoid accidental switching. When this mode is active, the receive mode and the auto-relay function are deactivated so that the signal is only transmitted.
Range and reliability:
PocketWizard's devices are known for their long range and high reliability. Although the PlusX transceiver costs less than other PocketWizard radios, it offers the same range and reliability.
Synchronization speed:
Ultra-fast microprocessors enable reliable synchronization times of at least 1/250s for focal plane shutters and 1/500s for central shutters.

The PlusX transceiver is compatible with all PocketWizard transmitters and receivers, including Profoto, Dynalite, Norman, Photogenic and Sekonic (light meters) equipped with PocketWizard modules. With PocketWizard's wireless system, you have complete flexibility no matter what flashes and cameras you work with.
