Description: This is a special remote shutter release cable called a pre-trigger cable. A pre-trigger cable allows you to control your remote's shutter release with a half-press and a full-press. When a camera is "pre-triggered", it is as if the camera's shutter release is held in the half-press position or metering/focusing position.
This cable contains a circuit without a diode, which is only required for the newer Nikon cameras, but will work with other cameras as well. Unfortunately, it will not work with the Nikon D200 or D100 with MB-D100. For these cameras, use the N10-ACC-D200 (formerly N90M-ACC) cable.
This N10-ACC cable allows a compatible PocketWizard radio to independently control the Half Press and Full Press functions.
Compatible with the following radios:
PlusX: Use this cable with the PlusX to trigger the camera.
Plus III: Use this cable with the Plus III's exclusive 2-step shutter release to activate or focus your remote, just like the camera's shutter button.
FlexTT5: This cable is required for E-TTL automatic relay mode or other remote triggering with the FlexTT5. You can use an N90M3-P (-P) pre-trigger cable or a standard N90M3 cable with a FlexTT5. However, your remote camera cannot pass an E-TTL signal to Speedlites. The FlexTT5 does not support 2-stage triggering functions.
MultiMAX with –ACC connector: Activate a remote zone with your MultiMAX handset and your remote MultiMAX will activate the remote camera with this cable. As long as the zone is on, the remote camera will remain "awake" and respond faster and more consistently, but will also use up the camera's batteries much faster. When the remote zone is deactivated, the camera will enter normal sleep mode. The MultiMAX does not support the 2-stage trigger functions.
NOTE: An older mono motor drive cable and/or a pre-release cable can be used in place of an -ACC cable with a FlexTT5. However, they will not have E-TTL functionality.
Added bonus: All N10-ACC cables released from July/August 2013 will include a MSMM (stereo to mono miniphone) adapter that converts an N10-ACC cable into a standard N90M cable. This change coincides with the launch of our new retail packaging. All cables are now packaged in an eco-friendly box made from 100% recycled cardboard, displaying white labels showing both cable ends as well as a compatibility list. This replaces our old zip-top packaging.
