ControlTL is designed to work seamlessly with Nikon's CLS/i-TLL flash system, giving you automatic TTL control or the precision of manual power control with Speedlights and select studio flash systems. ControlTL offers features and capabilities not previously available in wireless flash control systems .
Remotely, you can manually control the power of your flash units in up to three zones. You can use as many flash units in each group as you want and need.
Automatically adjusts flash output to changes in shutter speed, aperture, or light sensitivity when using TTL mode. Shoot images continuously without having to manually adjust the output.
Thanks to PocketWizard's ControlTL technology, Nikon's High Speed Sync (HSS/FP) mode gives you more light, faster recharge times, and greater flash capacity. This means you can use this useful feature more often and shoot with an open aperture and remote flash even in direct sunlight.
HyperSync makes it possible to achieve shorter sync times with flash units in high light output. Now you can reduce the ambient light and/or work with larger apertures in direct sunlight - even from a great distance. The shorter exposure times also prevent motion blur, which can also occur when shooting with flash in daylight.
If FlexTT5 is used as a receiver, the transmitter and receiver adjust automatically and allow ultra-short sync times of up to 1/8000s (depending on camera & flash unit).
In some TTL situations, such as shooting in direct sunlight, over long distances, or when using diffusers or bounce flash, the normal pre-flash is often not sufficient for a correct metering. Pre-flash gain allows you to compensate for the loss of light and thus increase the range and reliability of TTL control.
Allows you to use the FlexTT5 with optional shutter release cables for purely remote camera release.
Works with all PocketWizard radios on the same frequency, including PocketWizard OEM partner products such as Sekonic light meters and Profoto, Bowens, Calumet, Dynalite, Lumedyne, Norman and Photogenic flashes with built-in PocketWizard receivers, including HyperSync and rear curtain sync.
Using a USB connection and the free PocketWizard utility, you can customize the device: change your channel settings, adjust the HyperSync timing, adjust the sleep mode, and update the transceiver to the latest firmware. This makes the FlexTT5 future-proof.
PocketWizard's automatic switching allows the FlexTT5 transceiver to quickly switch between transmit and receive mode, simplifying operation and enabling useful special functions.
In Auto Relay mode, you can easily trigger a remote-controlled camera synchronously with separate, one or more remote-controlled flashes. Position the camera where you cannot be and reliably fire separate flash units from the camera synchronously in TTL or manual mode.
The FlexTT5 allows two individual configuration settings; C1 and C2. Each can be programmed as needed for TTL photography or standard channels on manual flash units. The channels can be configured using the PocketWizard utility or through the learning function.
Place the optional AC3 ZoneController on the FlexTT5 and gain three zones of power control from the camera location. Works with TTL and manual exposure control. A switch lets you activate or deactivate individual zones. The FlexTT5 used as receivers can each be switched to operate in one of three zones, which can be controlled individually by the MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 with AC3 on the camera or a system flash in the hot shoe. In addition, these zones are compatible with the earlier MultiMAX transceiver, which allows them to be combined in manual operation.
The FlexTT5 transceiver has two sockets that can be used to connect remotely triggered cameras and manual flash units. With its auto-relay mode, the FlexTT5 can trigger a remotely controlled camera and simultaneously fire external flash units in sync with the exposure.
Never before has it been possible to shoot continuously at the highest burst speeds using wireless TTL control. PocketWizard's innovative ControlTL software makes this possible.
