PocketWizard's new firmware taps into the full potential of your camera and flash system, as it enables completely new ways of controlling flash units through our reliable radio communication. The ControlTL firmware is configurable and can therefore be updated in a future-proof manner.
Designed to work seamlessly with Canon's E-TTL II system and Nikon's CLS/i-TTL system, the AC3 ZoneController makes exposure compensation and manual settings of system flashes easy and safe.
Three simple dials allow you to quickly adjust the power in three independent zones in 1/3-stop increments up to 6 f-stops.
Control up to three independent zones, each with one or more flash units, from the position of your camera. Set them to manual or automatic, or combine automatic and manual settings. Want to turn a zone off? Simply press the corresponding switch and it will be off.
In automatic mode, when sensitivity or aperture is changed, the MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 automatically adjust the flash power to maintain exposure. Set your AC3 ZoneController to manual and PowerTracking is turned off for total manual control. PowerTracking can also be controlled via the PocketWizard software.
In conjunction with a PowerST4 receiver, Elinchrom RX studio flashes can be controlled. You can also combine them with Canon E-TTL, Nikon CLS / i-TTL or any other flash unit equipped with a PocketWizard receiver.
The AC3 weighs almost nothing and slides directly onto the top of your MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 on the camera. There are three dials and three switches, one for each zone - the operation is always clear and self-explanatory.
This switch allows you to set each zone to either manual power control, auto (PowerTracking / E-TTL II or CLS / i-TTL), or disable it. If you set it to OFF, that zone will not fire.
Tangible and easy-to-read mechanical dials allow exposure correction of +/- 3 f-stops in automatic mode and adjustment of 6 f-stops in manual mode - each in 1/3 f-stop increments. These settings can also be made separately for each of the three zones.
