ColorChecker Passport Video 2 includes four targets: two video targets used for zebra, vectorscope and RGB parade video settings, a white balance target for in-camera white balance, and a ColorChecker Classic 24-patch target used by photographers for shooting raw images, all in a durable, easy-to-handle protective case.

Includes six chromatic color chips tailored for video production, six skin tones, six gray balance chips, and six highlight and shadow chips (including a high-gloss black) for the ideal color balance.
Grayscale Target
This goal involves three steps: white highlights, 40 IRE mid-gray, and saturated glossy black as reference points for perfect exposure.

white balance target
A precise white balance at the beginning ensures that the colors you capture are accurate and serves as a reference point for post-processing. The white balance target is a spectrally neutral target that provides a consistent reference point in mixed lighting conditions that can occur during a shoot. Because the target reflects light evenly across the visible spectrum, a custom in-camera white balance can compensate for lighting variations.
With this color target you can:
- Eliminate color casts
- Improve the color preview on your camera's display to get more reliable histograms
- Speed up post-processing by eliminating the need to color correct each image individually
Note to photographers: RAW photographers can capture this target at any time during the shooting session; JPEG photographers should make it their first image.
“Why can’t I just use any white object for white balance?”
Using a white paper or other white element in the scene for white balance may seem like a simple workaround, but these objects are not neutral in all lighting conditions and certainly not consistent.
Inaccurate white balance will result in color casts and a lack of consistency between lighting conditions, making color correction extremely time consuming. This will slow down your post-processing as you try to fix the resulting color casts.
Classic Target
Shooting the industry-standard ColorChecker Classic is a critical step in achieving consistent, predictable color when shooting. Combined with Camera Calibration software, you can create custom DNG and ICC profiles of your camera's response to scene lighting for consistent, predictable and repeatable results from frame to frame and camera to camera.
The Classic 24-Patch Target also provides a visual color reference point to see how corrections will affect the rest of your colors before you apply them. Each of the 24 color patches represents colors found in the natural world, like sky blues, skin tones, and leaf greens. And each patch reflects light just like its real-world counterpart. They're individually controlled to ensure consistent color tone to produce pure, flat, and rich colors with no spots or mixed tints.

Dual illuminant profiles can be created using any of the twenty-one supported light sources, allowing you to move freely between most lighting conditions without having to switch profiles.
