You can remotely manually control the power settings of your flash units in up to three zones using the camera's flash menu. You can use as many flash units in each zone as you need.
ControlTL is designed to work seamlessly with Panasonic system flashes, giving you full TTL automatic control with LUMIX Speedlights, or the precision of manual power control with Speedlights and certain studio flash systems. ControlTL offers options and settings not previously available in wireless flash control systems.
With Panasonic's High Speed Sync (HSS/FP) mode, optimized by PocketWizard ControlTL technology, you get more power, faster flash repetition and more shots per battery charge. You can now benefit from this great feature and even shoot with a wide aperture in direct sunlight with remote flash.
HyperSync allows photographers to use faster shutter speeds for flash synchronization in conjunction with high-power studio flash units. Now you can reduce the ambient light and use large apertures even in direct sunlight. Depending on the flash unit used, this works particularly well at high power and is therefore ideal for shooting large or distant subjects.
Allows the FlexTT5 to be used as a transmitter for flash synchronization on any camera with a center contact or sync cable connection (cable sold separately).
Works with all PocketWizard devices on the same frequency, including OEM partner products such as Sekonic meters and Profoto, Bowens, Calumet, Dynalite, Lumedyne, Norman and Photogenic strobes, for synchronization including HyperSync and Rear Curtain Sync.
Using a USB connection and the free PocketWizard utility, you can easily change the channel settings, adjust the HyperSync function, customize the sleep mode, and update the device to the latest firmware, making your FlexTT5 future-proof.
This technology allows the FlexTT5 to automatically switch between transmit mode and receive mode, giving more flexibility and enabling special functions such as “Auto Relay”.
Auto Relay mode makes it easy to remotely trigger a camera in sync with one or more separate flashes. Position a camera where you can't be and use either TTL, manual control, or both at the same time. The FlexTT5 on the camera functions as both a receiver for the trigger signal and a transmitter for flash sync.
The FlexTT5 has two configuration settings: C1 and C2. Each can be programmed as needed for TTL control or classic flash sync or remote camera triggering. The channels can be selected using the PocketWizard utility or through the learning function.
The FlexTT5 has two sockets that can be connected to connect cables for camera triggering and flash sync. Thanks to the Auto Relay mode, the FlexTT5 can trigger a remotely controlled camera and simultaneously send to a remotely controlled flash unit.
Never before has it been possible to use remote-controlled TTL flash units without dropouts, even at the highest frame rate. Fill up your camera's memory! Nothing else comes close to this in terms of functionality.
